yet another idea stolen from the wonder that is kim. for those of you who haven't had the pleasure, let me introduce you to my friend. kim is a working mother of five! yes, i said working! and, yes, i said five! as if that alone isn't crazy, she watches another young one a few days a week! and through all of her busy-ness, she finds time to blog! which, call me crazy, but i think blogging takes a long time.

so, one of my favorites of her posts is the (relative) monthly post about all the funny and insightful things her children (all 5 of them) say. and, since i own the aforementioned "very bright boy" i have lots of material.
Vol. 1
*on a recent phone conversation with his favorite aunt. he was trying to get her to tell him what she is giving him for his birthday, and being very manipulative at it.
aidan: please just tell me what it is. i can't wait until you get here.
favorite aunt: i can't. grandma would get so mad, she might ground me. (fyi - she is 23)
aidan: well, she is just going to have to change her life. and take grounding out of it.
*aidan: mom, you are the sweetest sweety.
*as aidan and his dad are wrestling.
dad: you'll never escape!
aidan: ah ha! i am no longer in your clutches!
*one of aidans favorite things to say when we are trying to work out a negotiation: but mom, heres the point....
*as aidan was talking to his gamer-dad, he noticed me rolling my eyes and said: she sooo needs a cruise!

That whole cruise thing sounds like something that would happen in Beverly Hills.
